"Sam!"

"Sammy!"

He could hear the fear in his brother's voice, the desperation to get there in time, and he struggles to hold onto the phone. But despite his attempts, the blood slicked device slowly slipped from his grasp. His limbs felt detached, and his body had become numb to the pain that had been there only moments before. He tried to call out to his brother. Tried to tell him what he needed to say before the approaching darkness consumed him, but all he managed was a broken whisper. One word, one name that could say it all.

"Dean."
